These standards apply to listings, offers, profiles, messages and in-person exchanges.
Describe plants accurately
Use current photos, explain damage or pests, state whether a pot is included and do not misrepresent a cutting as an established plant.
Treat people with respect
No harassment, discriminatory language, pressure, sexual content or repeated unwanted contact. A declined offer is the end of that offer.
Protect privacy
Do not post someone else’s address, phone number, email or private messages. Never use Plant Swap to collect data about other members.
Use reports responsibly
Report genuine safety, fraud, harassment or listing concerns. Malicious or repeated false reports may lead to account restrictions.
Keep illegal and harmful content out
No threats, hate, fraud, sexual exploitation, illegal goods, stolen plants, protected species, prohibited invasive plants, doxxing or instructions that facilitate serious harm. Urgent danger should also be reported to the emergency services.
